Scroll into the Microsoft office installation folder and search for scanpst.exe application. Once you get scanpst.exe, run that application. On running that application it'll ask you to point it to the *.pst file. Point it to the PST file that seems to got corrupted using browse button within the application. Now click on scan and repair. The scanning process might take some time depending on the size of PST, but it guarantees to repair the corrupted files. Scanpst.exe has never let me down. There are some other third party applications too but scanpst is more efficient and simple to use.
Do let me know if this solved your problem too.

The first step would probably be to try repairing it with SCANPST. Depending on your Office version the location may be different therefor let me point you to the Microsoft article which lists all the possibilities.
