How can I recover a corrupt Microsoft Project 2010 document?

Jason82morris July 8, 2014

I have an MPP file created in Microsoft Project 2010. It either hangs or causes Project 2010 to crash. It seems that there’s some corruption in it. I have tried downloading the (few) solutions out there without success. Not many good solutions it seems. Anyone have a clue to how resolve? This 7MB file is pretty significant, and rekeying it really isn’t an option.

You could try MPP Viewer -- which will allow you to view the file (obviously), print it and also export it in Excel format, from where you could probably reimport into Project...
