Where can I read free automotive repair manuals online?

    Google "free auto manuals" That should provide you with 10-15 sites.

    You can try AutoZone. You need to have a free account there and the available manuals only serve model years 1950-2007. Manuals from Chilton or Haynes require subscriptions to access, but check with your local library. Many of them pay the subscription fee to make these manuals available to their members. Most put a link on their homepage to a "research" section which is where you would most likely find another link to and similar items. In my case, accessing this link from a library computer brings me directly into the site where I can look up the appropriate manual. If I am doing this from home, I need to enter the barcode from my library card before I am redirected to Chilton's site.
