How to enable Virtual Router software to auto-start tethering on Win 7?
Creating a batch file and creating a task schedule as mentioned in the link Hovsep posted would be the easiest method I can think of.
Thanks. Please tell , is it by windows own 'virtual software' or the codeplex virtual router company freeware?
do you see virtual router when you open msconfig-Startup Tab
Creating a virtual wi-fi router in Windows 7
scroll to Restarting the network at startup
Thanks. I think it opens. But does not "start" automatically. Maybe net is to be begin first followed by pc?
Yes I saw Virtual router in msconfig - Startup tab. But how to configure to detect internet connection on running , as it runs in no net sharing mode by default. Thanks
-For BroadBand Connection - open network and sharing center and then go to change adapter settings and right click on brodband connection-properties-sharing-click on allow other network on put Local Area Connection* 13 and click on ok
-For Ethernet - right click on Ethernet and go to properties- sharing-click allow other networks put Ethernet and click ok
Thanks. Thats a good endeavor from you
Please tell , does this a) auto-tether , through b) microsoft's inbuilt virtual software configuration?
What About Windows 7 Starter Edition?
Unfortunately, Microsoft has disabled the Virtual Wifi features in Windows 7 Starter Edition so Virtual Router will not work. This is the only edition of Windows 7 that the software will not work with.
microsoft’s inbuilt virtual software is important
Virtual Router t provide a GUI to configure the function.
thanks. do you imply that wi-fi hotspot cannot be created in win 7 on it's own? If cannot be created , can you suggest a software ( like virtual router ) which would automatically start AND "TETHER" without having to manually start and "manually share" the connection? Virtual router begins but it has to be manually shared each time pc and internet is powered on
