How can I change a Word document’s background to Olive Green?

Anonymous April 23, 2014

I’m preparing for a competition of Microsoft Word organized by Certiport, and there’s this one question that I never get it right, and I can’t find any information regarding this, either online or offline.

It’s how to change the background of a document so that it is Olive Green, Accent 3, Lighter 60% with a Light Horizontal pattern.

Any help?

I've found the solution now. the first is to select the color from the Page Color box, and go to Fill Effects > Patterns tab > choose Light Horizontal.

Page Layout--> Page Color--> More Colors/ Fill Effects

    open the Document
for Word 2007-2010 you can find it in the ribbon menu under Page Layout
for Word 2013 you can find it in the ribbon menu under Design

Somewhere to the right-hand side of the menu there is "Page Color" where you can select the color. Hovering over the colors will give you the info about "Accent" and "Lighter".

As far as patterns and stuff goes you can find it in the very same menu under "Fill Effects".
