Can a person have multiple MakeUseOf accounts?

Christine S August 20, 2013

Can one person have two accounts with MakeUseOf, one with their real name and one with a pseudonym?  Is it possible to list a couple of the bigger sites that broadcast all that you do for god and everybody to see if you use your real name?

"Many tech sites use Facebook only login to drastically improve the quality of comments;"
You mean that unless one has a Facebook account, their comments are of low quality?! Surely you jest!

Nope, but Facebook is one way of verifying someone's identity. There are many cases where forcing someone to use their real name causes people to not be dicks. Not all cases, mind you, but some.

Many tech sites use Facebook only login to drastically improve the quality of comments; we don't go that far. And right now, only your first name and last initial is listed, not your entire name.

No, multiple accounts are not kosher, because it would allow people to exploit the rewards system.

I'm not sure about the second part of your question.

Thanks Matt of course that makes sense i just don't think that way regarding points cheating is no way to get ahead and after reading second part of question i am not sure either, i knew what i wanted to say in my head and well it did not come out as brilliant as planned. Thank you and maybe its too early in the morning but i have no clue what mr. james and dragonmouth are talking about....

I might be missing something, but how would having multiple accounts exploit the point system?
They can't amalgamate points between accounts, right?
