What cables do I need to watch movies from my external hard drive?

How do I watch movies saved on my new External 2TB hard drive on my HDTV? I am not sure what cables I need.

    Hello, no, that is not right.  That was one of limitations when the FAT32 formatting came out.  You can format any external harddrive regardless of size with FAT32.  FAT32 is kind of the universal format.  It can be read/written in pretty much any operating system.

    Hello, if you TV has a USB port and it is able to show videos, music, pictures, etc from a flashdrive or external hard drive, the only thing you need is the external hard drive and the USB cable included with it.  Also, most times your hard drive has to be formatted in FAT32....mind you some TVs are able to read NTFS formatted external drives.  Also, the video files in your external drive have to be compatible with the formats that TV is able to play.  To find out what formats your TV is compatible with, you should have a look in the manual.

      Is it right you can only have up to 32GB with the FAT 32 system?

    you will need usb cable to connect hard drive to TV
