Aukey is considered to be one of the major tech accessory sellers on Amazon. However, if you go looking for a charger or a portable hub distributed by this company right now, you'll discover that those products are no longer available on Amazon.

While it's still unclear why this might be happening, it's quite possible that there is a serious reason behind Amazon's decision to pull some product listings from its store.

Dozens of Product Listings Are Disappearing From Amazon

People have started to notice that some of the popular products on Amazon are either unavailable for shipping or removed completely from the store. Reliable and well-known tech sellers, including Aukey, Tomtop, and Mpow, are slowly disappearing from Amazon.

If you open Aukey's Amazon page, you'll see that many of the seller's products are no longer available. There are either blank product boxes or products are listed as currently unavailable. Even if you type Aukey in Amazon's search bar, instead of the seller's cables or earbuds, you'll find a massage gun as the top result.

Why Is Amazon Removing These Product Listings?

Amazon hasn't yet commented on what is happening with some manufacturers' product listings. But it is quite possible that it is connected with the recently uncovered fake reviews scam.

Specialists discovered a misconfigured database exposing Amazon vendors and thousands of people willing to give fake positive reviews for a reward. However, the database locked down in a few days, and the cybersecurity team was unable to find out who was the owner of the database.

Tech journalist Corbin Davenport took to Twitter to show proof of Aukey promising to send a gift card in exchange for an "honest review." Even though the seller doesn't specifically say to write a 5-star review, there is a chance that offers like this may have triggered Amazon's actions.

Is This Part of Amazon's Plan?

Amazon has been looking for a way to deal with the sellers that generate fake reviews of their products. If Aukey and the other tech sellers whose product listings have been removed were somehow involved in the fake reviews scam, it's no wonder that Amazon decided to take such actions.

The only way to know the real reasons for what is going on is to wait until one of the companies speaks out about it.
