If you need a smartwatch but aren't into the idea of spending hundreds of dollars on one, Amazfit has you covered with its newly-announced Amazfit Bip U and Amazfit Bip U Pro watches.

The company announced the watches in a press release, and it's shocking how cheap they are compared to other smartwatches on the market.

Both the Amazfit Bip U and Amazfit Bip U Pro are designed to offer many of the same features as more expensive smartwatches while keeping a very lightweight package and affordable price.

Both watches feature a 1.43-inch display with access to more than 50 watch faces that'll create a customizable experience.

As you might expect, the watches have all sorts of fitness features that'll help you keep track of your exercise. They have over 60 different sport modes that'll help you see how you're performing.

It's surprising how many health metrics both watches can track. They'll read your blood-oxygen level, heart rate, sleep quality, and stress levels. You'd expect that level of monitoring from an expensive smartwatch, but to see that many features in one that starts at $50 is quite impressive.

They can even be used to help track menstrual cycles and ovulation, which is something you don't see in all smartwatches. It's a very nice bonus feature to have, especially at this price.

Of course, the watches also sync up with your smartphone to provide notifications. You can see things like text messages, emails, and alerts from popular apps. Basically, all of the core functionality you'd expect to see from a smartwatch are included, but at a fraction of the price of many other models.

The Pro gains a couple of notable features over the Bip U. First, it has built-in GPS, which will come in handy for tracking your runs and rides. It also has Alexa, so if you're a fan of Amazon's personal assistant, you're going to want to spend the extra money on the higher-end model.

Both smartwatches are available now from the Amazfit website or on Amazon. Right now, you can get the cheaper Amazfit Bip U for $50, though its regular MSRP is $60. If you want the extra features offered by the Amazfit Bip U Pro, you'll need to spend $70, which is the device's standard MSRP.
