Amazon has introduced a new feature for Echo speakers to alert Prime customers up to 24 hours ahead of time of any deals becoming available. The feature is intended to assist customers in time management while also helping save money.

When this feature is active, Alexa will send a notification to users which will update them on any items on sale that they have saved to their wish list, added to their cart, or marked as saved for later.

How to Enable Alexa Advanced Deal Alerts

To enable this feature on your device, open the Alexa app for iOS or Android, and click on the More tab. From there, click on Settings > Notifications > Amazon Shopping. Once you are here, scroll down to find Shopping Recommendations and enable Deal Recommendations.

When the feature is enabled, the ring around your Amazon Echo will turn yellow when an item you have saved is on sale. You will also receive a pop-up notification for the same item on your smartphone. For more information on the notification, you can ask Alexa to read it aloud.

Once the notification has been read, customers can ask Alexa to remind them when the deal becomes available, or even ask Alexa to order the product for them.

When ordering these products, Alexa will use the default delivery address and payment method that is in your Amazon account, but you will not get charged until the order is successfully placed. Once the order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation with your order details, along with a notification on your Amazon app for iOS or Android.

Finding the Best Amazon Deal

This new feature, along with Amazon’s Smart Reordering, are ways that Amazon wants to make it easier for users to make purchases from the company.

This new feature is currently available for Amazon Prime customers in the United States across all Echo smart speakers that are fourth-generation or newer. As of yet, there is no indication of when this feature will become available outside the United States or if it will be compatible with older Echo smart speakers.
