How can I add a 3 column widget below the header in the Thesis 1.8 WordPress theme?

I want to add it to my website, like in this example, taken from Ultimate Blogging Theme 3.0.

well..no it didnt help.. i found a tutorial on other site but it was for footer .. as i dont know html css & php i am unable to make that footer hook to the header..
