Those of you who currently have early access to Amazon Luna can now use it via Android devices.

It only works on a handful of devices, for the time being. However, it is nice to see that Amazon is actively working on developing the app and bringing it to all platforms, as per its promise.

Amazon Luna Is Available on Android

In a tweet, Amazon Luna confirmed that Luna is now available on Android, to early access users of the cloud gaming platform.

The tweet adopts a jocular tone, but as you can see, early access Luna users don't need to wait any longer to access the cloud gaming platform on their Android devices.

What Android Devices Is Luna Available On?

Right now, you can only access Luna on a few devices. Amazon lists them on its website, but the only Android devices you can get Luna on are some Google Pixel, Samsung, and OnePlus smartphones.

You can also access Luna via the Windows and macOS desktop app; web browsers on PC, Mac, iPhone, and iPad; and Fire TV devices.

Don't forget, though, this is only early access and Amazon will add more devices as we near the full release of Luna.

How Do You Get Amazon Luna Early Access?

You can still apply for Amazon Luna early access. This allows you full access to any functions of the Luna cloud gaming platform that are ready for the public to test.

This is an exciting option as it means that, if Amazon grants you early access to the Luna service, you can then have a say in development. If you find any bugs or have any suggestions for Amazon, you can let them know.

In order to access the Luna service early, you need to apply. To do this, you must have a US Amazon account. Using your account, you can then request an invitation which, if approved, Amazon will send to you via email.

When Is Amazon Luna Due for Release?

As it is still in early access stages, we don't actually have a solid release date for the Luna platform.

Amazon says that its cloud gaming service will be available in 2021 but, as with all software development, we can expect there to be hiccups which lead to delays.

Early access is currently only available in the US, so Amazon will presumably roll it out in other territories soon enough. This means it must wait for global feedback on the service before it enjoys a full public release.

Amazon Luna advertises a number of available games.

So, if you have early access to Luna, and a compatible device on the list, you can already use the service on Android.

If you would like to try Luna, then hit Amazon up with an invitation request. In the meantime, you could always enjoy gaming on some other streaming platforms.
