iOS 14.7 was released on July 19 and it has come with some notable features along with general bug fixes.

Let's take a look at all the new features you will have access to after upgrading to iOS 14.7.

1. iPhone 12 MagSafe Battery Pack Support

Apple recently announced the release of the new MagSafe Battery Pack, which is designed for all four models in the iPhone 12 line. The purpose of MagSafe is to provide portable, wireless charging for when you're on the go.

If you're looking to buy the new MagSafe for your iPhone 12, you'll have to upgrade your iPhone's software to iOS 14.7 to enable its use.

2. Locations for Air Quality Information

The Weather and Maps app already offered air quality information in several countries, but the feature has now expanded to more regions.

You can now check air quality in Canada, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, South Korea, and France as well.

3. Manage Multiple Timers on HomePod

Apple has discontinued the production of the HomePod, a Siri-based smart speaker focusing on pristine audio quality. However, updates for the HomePod are regularly released.

With iOS 14.7, you can now set and simultaneously manage multiple timers on the HomePod app.

4. Podcasts Updates

The Podcasts app recently underwent a major redesign, so not much has been upgraded on this end. Apple has added a new feature in the Podcasts library that will let you choose to see all shows or just the shows that you follow.

5. Combining Apple Cards

Apple Card Family Sharing was announced with iOS 14.6, and it allowed multiple family members to share an Apple Card. However, you couldn't merge two Apple Cards up until now.

With iOS 14.7, you can combine two Apple Cards together and create one single co-owned account through the Apple Wallet app. You will have a higher shared credit limit in the merged account.

6. Bug Fixes

An issue many of the owners of the iPhone 11 faced was the disappearing battery service message after rebooting. This issue has been resolved in the new update.

Apple Music was also kept in the loop when it came to bug fixes, as several problematic features were acknowledged and fixed.

Apple's Minor Software Upgrade

iOS 14.7 saw minor updates compared to its predecessors, especially iOS 14.5. However, the update for MagSafe support hit the headlines and was the most significant feature of iOS 14.7.

Apart from that, iOS 14.7 also allows merging two Apple cards, additional features to the Podcasts and Weather app, and a timer setting option for the HomePod.
