The ” What Part Of Africa?” cartoon or whatever it is suppose to be is disgusting. I wonder if your advertisers feel the same way about the Africa American community ? In the event they do not I personally will contact them and share this blantant racist cartoon with them as well as a few civic leaders in my city. I once regarded this site as one of the best on the internet. I have never been so wrong.

You are overreacting. If there is any racism in this image, it is actually the African guy being racist towards the Filipino girl. But it’s a good thing that neither is being racist–the one guy is just being ignorant.
African guy don’t know that the Philippines is not related to Africa.” What’s the big deal? George Bush didn’t know that in Brazil there are blacks, and everything is fine. That’s ridiculous, but not as an insult.
Gentlemen lets put this thing to bed. It is obvious to me that the first two repliers were associated to MakeuseOf. And as a result I would not expect anyone from your organization to share my views on this matter.. As for the last responder he/she (no disrespect intended) is also a supporter of the views of Makeuseof (790 points) and was trying to neutralize the effect of the writers words, or at least show that worst has happened. And, by someone who should of known better. With that in mind please allow me this. I’m 58 years young a veteran of the Viet Nam conflict and as young child witnessed and experienced the pains and inhumanities of intolerant people.and Obviously I have not forgotten them. Most of your readers are not of my generation. They are bright and well educated. Their life experiences differ from mine considerably. I do believe that being vicious and hateful were not part of the writers mindset.If I erred in anyway it was not taking the target audience in mind. In closing several people of various ethnic backgrounds and of my generation understood my initial response and agreed with it So lets part friends and leave this as a generational difference in humor.
One last thing. The young man in the cartoon did not come off as an African National. But as an African American urban youth. If you need more dialog send me an email.

Their is so much idiocy in this post that your making the guy in the picture look well educated.
1. A make use of employee(or someone paid to make “fake” posts) would have thousands of points by now, not 790.
2. Its a crop of a conversation that happened on facebook and was posted to reddit, then re posted here. So if their WAS racism it would be on the hands of reddit, not makeuseof.
3. Their isnt a single racial slur or term in either of the peoples post. Nor is anyone being insulted due to their background, racial or otherwise.
please learn to read, but even more importantly, learn to engage your brain before idiotic posts like this. Also i seriously doubt anyone at this site would have issue with you running to tell your supposed friends in high places about the racism…because A. i doubt you have any. B. anyone with a brain would laugh in your face over your statements. Also your past actions and experiences have nothing to do with this picture, is it about racism? no. is it about a war? no. To give you an idea of how your past experiences have no correlation with your post/the picture i will give you an example: When i was a kid i ate ice cream. Earth shattering right? Obviously because i ate ice cream my points are all valid!
