I’d rather use FTP from the commandline.

Too bad they don’t make a Mac update version. Some websites will only allow IE.

You can either use Winebottler or IE5. MS stopped supporting IE for Mac with v5.

There you go. I downloaded Firefox with IE 6 back when I was just starting to find my way on the internet, surfed for a while with FF, discovered Opera (it was the version 9), download it with FF, since then Opera (now at version 11, soon 12) has been my primary browser. In fact, the only browser I ever use.

Opera is a browser, like Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.
The first two, Opera and Firefox, are crossplatform, meaning they can be installed on the three main OS (Operating System), that is, Windows, Mac and Linux.
The two others, IE and Safari, are the default browsers of their espective OS, IE for Windows and Safari for Mac.
And yes, you can do everything on the web with Opera.
