    On what planet does a MacBook come with only 2GB RAM?

    And yes, of course it’s the same price, because ALL the items in the right (well, maybe except Microsoft Office, but Mac comes with iWork FREE) are going to die before the MacBook, cheapskates.

    You know who shared this, don’t you? Four guys who never touched a Mac.

    • Ramjet

      more like 8 or 10 guys that never touched a Mac. But then again, there’s no accounting for taste or smarts.

  • Jbud

    Hey wait a second…I own all those things on the right! And I’d have to trade it all to get a crappy half working mac that requires expensive upgrades every 2 years and doesn’t support any of my applications? No Thanks!

    • Ramjet

      Um no. You have to buy all of that to get the same functionality you get with just the Mac. And yeah the expensive upgrades (29.00 bucks for the last one) happen every two years instead of every six years with the Windows box (for $229).

      • Leo

        so you get the functionality of a portable media player, a carry case, a flash drive, a camera, a mouse and a portable hard drive all inside your macbook?
        wow, just wow.

    @Eduard Fanboys will ALWAYS defend their belief in a product no matter how compelling the evidence is against it. That is why Apple manage to continue selling over priced products.

    • Ramjet

      Overpriced by ~-12% yup yup you flaggedf that one right.

  • Anonymous

    lol, letting asides tastes…. thats a damn FACT and i own an old mac and some of the right stuff… so STFU fanboys !

    @Jbud
    It doesn’t need any upgrade. At least not more than any other computer does… and if you are talking about the OS, you pay around 10$ to upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard, and 150$+ to upgrade from Vista to 7. Also, Leopard isn’t as slow and buggy as Vista is… in fact, I don’t even have Snow Leopard, and nothing forces me to upgrade. Also, there are many, MANY people that still use Tiger, it’s kinda like still using XP, it’s a good OS and you can live with it, even for web design or video editing.

    @Leo
    Damn, you can listen to music on your Mac (if you are stupid enough, you can carry it with you, I bet it weights less than the Dell), I got a free 1TB Hitachi external HDD (much better than a 8GB flash drive, don’t you think?) with my Mac – most Apple dealers will offer you more than you get in an Apple retail store, and you simply DON’T NEED a mouse for the MacBook. It has a really awesome multi-touch trackpad, and it’s fully configurable (you can launch apps, execute scripts, browse files, browse web, and so on much faster than with a mouse), and also, Macs can be operated through keyboard much easier than most PCs are… if you have a Mac and are ready to dodge my comment, just learn about it first. If you are a regular user, Macs are overpriced, and don’t do anything more than a PC. But if you are a power user and take advantage of everything Mac offers over a PC, it’s much, much better, and worth (quite) every cent.

    @Paul G and user91
    I don’t call myself a fanboy, since I just own a regular MacBook and absolutely no other Apple product (no iPhone, no iPod, no other Mac computer). Do I sound desperate? I don’t think so. Am I irrational? Think about it a little… I don’t think I am.

    Yes, it is a fact that Macs cost more than a computer to buy them physically. But you can ready everywhere that Macs have smaller total cost of ownership than any PC – that means that, if you can resist doing unneeded upgrades, you will pay for using it every year less than a PC. This covers the electricity usage, the need to replace components, the very rare repairs (if you don’t need a component to be replaced, you get the repair for free, if you need a component to be replaced, you just pay for it). Check out Google for “mac total cost of ownership”, read anything you’ll like, see who made the studies, and just after that take a conclusion.

    Also, Apple sells refurbished Macs for 15-20% less, and they guarantee they are exactly the same as any other Macs. Again, check out Google, I couldn’t find a single unsatisfied client.

    Macs are really nice and really expensive. PCs are not so nice, and not so expensive. It’s a pretty simple concept; why do we have to keep arguing it?

  • siapa

    @ eduard Mac Fan boy gets angry the fact that he have mistakenly by a Mac. haha. loser!
