“A” drawer? More like “every” drawer!
You are right, my table has two drawers and each one is like this!
Ha! Nope. . . that makes me cringe like Monk!
Now, on the other hand @my bf’s house; it is heavy duty over the top, brimming with everything from broken light sockets, pressure gauges, wires, shoelaces, awls, calculators, assortments of pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, nails, nuts, bolts and screws; with a variety of tapes, glues, washers and too many things to mention that no one has any idea what they are, ~except him.
~and heaven help the poor fool that tries/tried to organize it~LOL. . . I just close my mind to it now, when its open.

I believe “the junk drawer” is its technical name.
My top two drawers are neat and tidy but the third one looks exactly like this…
