Oh GAWD…..I’m a “black” computer geek and I’ve never heard anything so asinine in my life…..actually, yes I have. Being around blacks that use “the man” as their excuse for not achieving anything in life, I have actually heard comments just as bad, and WORSE than that one. NO JOKE, I was getting my hair cut at a barber shop in “south central los angeles” yesterday, and the barbers and patrons were talking about what they were willing to do to get money. One barber was BRAGGING about the fact that at one point in his life he was homeless, and to compensate for that, he ADMITTED to robbing a liquor store to get money. His justification was, “FUCK IT. If I’m living in a system where ‘The White Man’ is the only one that can truly be successful, and being homeless, I did what I had to go to get food to eat!” After his “explanation”, some of the patrons erupted in applause and agreement. I sat very quietly and DAMN sure didn’t interject MY opinion, which WOULD have been to mention all the homeless people in society that are able to find food to eat, and DON’T have to rob stores to get by……
