Wow, once again a person who has never truly put their faith and hope in God, especially while reading the Bible, has made an ignorant statement about His word. I will pray that God will truly show Himself to this person in a way that is undeniable as He has done for me time and time again.
“If God would just show himself in an undeniable way, then faith would no longer be required…”
Yes, and that is the key flaw with religion: It requires BLIND faith. And yes, it is blind faith, whether or not you accept that it is. There is absolutely no way to prove anything in the Bible… not a single goddamn way to prove that book is correct, and the Koran and other “holy books” are false.
The fallacy of religion is putting faith in your own faith, so to speak, and closing your mind to all else. If you would just stop for a minute and open your eyes, you would see that nearly all religions are the same as yours…
And, you would also see how foolish you look.
If God exists, then I am wrong, and I will be going to hell, along with the majority of the population of Earth. Hell is gonna be pretty bitchin…
1. The Bible NEVER tells you to shut out everything else. It also says NOT to have blind faith.
2. Many events in the Bible have been proven to be true.
3. Christianity is different from most other religions in that it requires nothing of its followers other than faith.
4. If you are wrong and the majority of the population winds up in Hell, you would never know because it’s pretty much like solitary confinement while on fire.
5. Don’t talk about a subject unless you know the facts of it.
Since you’re talking about it, you must’ve been to hell? Or is this blind faith that the sinners will serve their punishment talking?

I was merely stating how Hell is described in the Bible, as that was what he was referencing. If your are going to attack something, do not twist facts around to suit you.
1. The Bible does tell you to have blind faith. God said believe in him and in no other God or else, and Jesus said that if we trust our souls to God (not that He requires it, your soul was made by Him and belongs to Him along with any fixtures and fittings), then everything will be ok.
2. Not so. There is archaeological evidence supporting some of the things mentioned (depends also upon interpretation of the words in the Bible and also of the evidence, see terms and conditions in store for details); there are also a lot of holes in the Bible and it is this which has led many Christians to not take Leviticus or Revelations as seriously as other Christians seem to.
3. Again, not true. God requires you to understand that your soul was made by Him and belongs to Him. God requires your total and utter devotion, or you will go to Hell (which He made), and be tortured by the Devil (aka Lucifer, an angel He created before he cast him to Hell for…wait for it…pride). This was because Eve ate an apple and thus gained knowledge, against His wishes.
4. Don’t remember the Bible saying that it was solitary. In fact, I’m pretty sure it was pretty much just the fire for eternity.
5. Facts, like the Bible, are open to interpretation.

Ok, the New Testament does not read “if you sin you will go to Hell.” I guess it depends on your definition offer ‘total’ and ‘utter’ devotion. Yes, it states that you have believe in him, but not that if you disobey him at all you go to Hell.
Eve gained the knowledge of the difference between good and evil, thus making it possible for her to sin. (Not arguing with you, just clarifying.)
Nowhere, and I mean nowhere, does it say that the Devil is going to torture anyone or have any power in Hell.
I am not trying to tell ANYONE that their faith (or the lack thereof) is wrong. I am not here to offend anyone.
By the way, no one truly can say they KNOW anything about the past unless they were there. We just have to believe what other people wrote. How do we know that it was in fact Newton who explained gravity and the laws of motion. We take it in faith that it was accurately recorded.
first of all, there is no way to prove GOD does or doesnt exist.
Bottom line, I dont care whether you believe in the Big Bang theory or that GOD created everything, they both require BLIND faith.
If you are going to tell me that everything started from the Big Bang, then you have to believe that something can come from nothing (BLIND faith?), after all, where did the first rocks in space come from…or the smaller universe that everything came from.
If you believe in GOD, they all you have to believe is that GOD came from nothing.
“Yes, and that is the key flaw with religion: It requires BLIND faith. And yes, it is blind faith, whether or not you accept that it is. There is absolutely no way to prove anything in the Bible… not a single goddamn way to prove that book is correct, and the Koran and other “holy books” are false.”
What -doesn’t- require some measure of blind faith?
Science does the same thing the “holy books” do. It claims its own veracity above everything else, and its followers claim that it can explain everything despite the fact that, like the “holy books,” it’s still all based on what humanity has -observed-. Neither school of thought is more or less credible than the other.
The fallacy of both is the blind, narrow-minded devotion of its followers.
A Christian would believe you’re stupid to think God isn’t real. You’d think a Christian is stupid to think He is. You observed one thing, he observed another. You both think the other’s wrong. It’s like a debate over gender superiority.
You seem to think that science is one set piece of stone instead of what it really is. A moving and collaborating pyramid of knowledge. When something is proven wrong or incorrect, when something is show to be the opposite or somehow different than what has been put down, people put the new data up to the test, the old data as well, and then conceive ways and tests of verifying one bit of information or the other. Then, when one is proven to be more true, or more reliable then the other, they go with that. While this isn’t completely perfect, and doesn’t necessarily mean that everything in science is always completely true, it means that the information garnered from the scientific books you read and the pages you read is much more reliable then that you get from the Bible and praying (To me).
Religion has no peer review, science does. Science tests and depicts where something will go and how it’ll go about it based on data, while religion bases it on belief.
Actually the best part of science, it will admit when its proven wrong.
Religions can’t admit that or they would collapse under all the hypocrisy.

So speaks someone who believes in the holy scriptures of science.
As a person who has come to independent conclusions for both religion and the religion of science, I can absolutely claim that under no circumstances, will ANY scientist with any sort of education allow anyone at all to question the currently held scientific belief. It is just not up for debate, and if you question their conclusions publicly your will be slandered by these people, first by questioning your logic, then by questioning your education level, then by questioning your intelligence then finally by stating that you have such low intelligence that you are so stupid that you do not know your own level of ignorance.
After three decades of doing this, 70%* of my theories have eventually become more mainstream, but the reality on the ground, is that when I proposed my theories, they were soundly insulted, as was my intelligence. Independent thought is not the strong suit of the average scientist. Any change in holy scripture must come from a higher group of holy men, and then it is OK to change your view.
Basically scientists are Scientologists with slowly shifting ideological goalposts.
* I fully expect the other 30 of my theories to be considered as correct before my death.
A Christian does not observe anything. A Christian wants to run away from the harsh realities of life and death by putting their faith in something the way a child pretends his story book is real when they don’t like what is going on around them. (You can replace “Christian” with Jew, Muslim, Hindu, etc…)
A non religious person observes the truth – accepting reality and not running away from it.
Everyone lives off of what they have observed. Observation itself is the very foundation of religion (a classification atheists–secular humanists–would shudder to acknowledge, though they’re just as religious as everyone else).
Every belief system is based on how they want to explain observed phenomena. No two people ever see the exact same thing, but they might find someone else with whom they can agree on a–key word–relatively plausible explanation as to why or how said phenomena occurred.
If I saw someone pray for money and get it, I would find reason to get on that train. I observe a phenomena, find a relatively plausible reason as to how it happened, and I chase it. Common sense. There are countless people throughout the ages who claim to have seen signs and wonders that are beyond explanation. Meanwhile, an “atheist” may see the same thing, come up with a different conclusion, and chase that instead. Two different people are seeing two different things and explaining it two different ways based on what they’re observing.
Theists observe the abundance of evidence. Atheists observe the lack of it. Neither of them have any semblance of a grasp on reality. They simply observe, conclude, and make up their own. Whatever it is, it’s always real to somebody.
Secondly, your faith is based in the lack of evidence. If you had evidence, it would not be faith, it would be know.
Athiests look at the rediculous falsehoods and hypocrisy perpetuated by the religious dogma all religions kick up to hide how bloody crazy their faiths are, as well as to get people to chip a few bucks their way.
I am sure that back in the day, when woman had all the power, creating a book that put all the superiority in mans favour made sense. Its time we grew out of that old fashioned way of thinking. Retire the dogma, use our brains.
The comment written by Jed is no more than cheap sarcasm.
If he thinks that the only affair of God is to comply to his lusts and wishes, then he is totally wrong.
I don’t understand the point of view of most of the comments here saying that religion is about “closing your mind” or “refusing the realities of everyday life”. For example, I don’t find any contradiction for me being a Sunni Muslim and a software developer in the same time. But seculars are keeping spreading the claim that religion is all about putting a turban on your head and stay in a cave reciting the words of a holy book.
I ask everyone who doesn’t believe that God exists:
Hadn’t all human beings been breathing Oxygen very long before it was known to exist?
Hadn’t radio waves existed around humans thousands of years before they were discovered?
If you were to talk to a person from the 10th century about something like radio waves, he’d laugh at you in the same manner nowadays atheists laugh at anyone believing in God, and you won’t manage to prove to this person that radio waves exist with the 10th century capabilities.
Why are you “over believe” in the human capabilities by saying “We don’t believe in God and angels because we don’t see them and can’t measure any evidence of their existence” although it’s very appearant that human capabilities are limited and are incremental in nature.
Are you saying that it is justified to compare atheists to the ignorance of people from 1100 years ago, while religion (the belief in a deity) was started by a group of even more ignorant people WAY before the 10th century? Now think about that for just a second.
Oh, and if you say that the fact that it has lasted so long only makes it more believable, then you should consider the fact that science (even in it’s most basic form) started as soon as human kind gained sentience (the only difference is that science was “invented” so that humans would become less ignorant).
Why can’t we all let go of each others conceptions and believe what we want to believe? I’m not defending any way of thinking but when you tell people that what they believe in or what they do is wrong (this may or may not have been any of your intentions-far be it from me to judge other people on what I believe), then you are just as bad as you claim them or their beliefs to be, but when all is let go and we all learn to live together no matter what the other person thinks, then there will be no reason for repartee like these. Thank you for reading.
But when it comes down too it Atheists are smaller in numbers and we get shat upon for our lack of belief. I am only trying to defend atheists. I don’t believe in god, people should accept that. I also accept religions, I enjoy attending services and learning about them. I don’t believe, but I like to learn. Knowledge is power.
I prefer a debate to slandering people, but the way these things go on forums you can’t debate. Its shitty but true.
And what I have found with most religions you can’t debate with them because they go in thinking they have already won the debate. You can through out all the knowledge you have on the hypocrisy of the bible, they will just keep throwing down lackluster answers that don’t disprove them.
It gets aggravating fast that you see these flaws and all you want to do is get them to plug them (I don’t care about being right, I just want satisfactory defense on their part).
For once I would like to meet a religious person who has learned about other religions and is still able to defend theirs.
YAY!!!!! People arguing about religion in a comment thread on the internet! That’s never been done before!
Seriously, after two thousand years of this argument in one form or another, it’s amazing that no one else has figured out that the way to finally reach a decision on the whole religion thing is to have teenagers argue about it over the internet.
“AMAZING! I was a militant atheist/fundamentalist christian until M4zzt3R CH33pH explained everything perfectly by calling me a fag!”
News flash people…no one gives a flying fuck what your religious beliefs are
I found this page through stumbleupon. I thought the picture was the reason as to why it was on there, but it is clearly the argument above XD Nice one guys, team effort.
True Paulius, but I gotta admit this is one of the more thoughtful religious debates I’ve ever seen on the internet, not exactly a Harvard theology seminar, but still.
Science does the same thing the “holy books” do. It claims its own veracity above everything else, and its followers claim that it can explain everything despite the fact that, like the “holy books,” it’s still all based on what humanity has -observed-. Neither school of thought is more or less credible than the other.
Science does not do the same thing the “holy books” do. The “holy books” require faith, a belief in something without proof or material evidence. Science observes the material world to gain systematic knowledge.
Additionally, only a fool would say that “neither school of thought is more or less credible than the other.” If the “holy books” are correct, and god is real, then science is less credible. If the “holy books” lie, and there is no god, then science is more credible.
I, as a Christian, believe that science and religion can coexist. Some Christians say that ‘the Bible says everything was created in seven days, so evolution isn’t true.’ But the Bible also says ‘to God 1000 years is as a day and a day is as 1000 years’ so who’s to say that creation didn’t span millions of years. As for the Big Bang Theory, where did the god particle come from. There is absolutely no reason the two ideas, science and religion, cannot coexist.
I, as a Christian, believe that science and religion can coexist.
I, as an agnostic, agree in the possibility of science and religion coexisting.
Some Christians say that ‘the Bible says everything was created in seven days, so evolution isn’t true.’
Only a Sith deals in absolutes.
But the Bible also says ‘to God 1000 years is as a day and a day is as 1000 years’ so who’s to say that creation didn’t span millions of years.
I don’t remember the bible stating that everything was made in 7 ‘God Days’. Just 7 ordinary days (and even a few nights thrown in for good measure). Even if God sees one day as being 1000 years, that’s still only 7000 years, hardly close to a span of millions of years.
As for the Big Bang Theory, where did the god particle come from.
Ahh, the god particle. Yet another thing that needs to be proven. Good name.
In all seriousness though, I don’t know. I may never know. But until God parts the skys and proclaims, “Peek-a-boo! I exist!”, I’ll have to make due with my own speculations and observations.
There is absolutely no reason the two ideas, science and religion, cannot coexist.
Unless there is no God.
Jed wasn’t even saying that god didn’t exist, he was reviewing The Holy FRIKIN’ Bible like a normal product.
If you bought a gameboy and the thing did jack shit you would give the same review.
There is no god. Get over it. Think (logically and rationally) for yourself instead.
You religitards do realize that you’re basing your entire lives on crap primitive people who had no idea how the universe worked scribbled down, right? The same people who thought thunderstorms were because you displeased ‘god’ in some way? The same people who thought everything in the universe revolved around us?
I don’t need to blindly fear some invisible all-knowing sky fairy; I make my decisions morally, not based on what someone else tells me to do. I think for myself.
Where do your morals come from? Do they look a little something like this?
Honor your father and mother; do not commit murder; do not cheat on your spouse or have sex with someone else’s spouse; do not steal; do not become jealous.
If so, you got your morals from the Bible as well as many other religious texts.
You know what? I was going to type out a whole paragraph defending a Christians right to believe what they want to believe.
But then I remembered a few weeks back when my bisexual friend of 10 years was overthrown and beaten up by a protesting christian group at a Gay Pride Festival. What did I do? I found the guy that started the riot against my friend, threw him on the ground, and looked him straight in the eye. His face was less than three inches from mine. You know what I did?
I kissed the bastard. Right on the lips. Honestly, I don’t mind seeing a man kiss a man, or a woman kiss a woman. You’re only born once, and you live with what you’re dealt with. But if he was going to go as far as throwing a punch at someone simply because they were born different than himself, then I’m going to scar the fucker the best way I know how.
So honestly, if you are a Christian, then go fuck yourself unless you know what boundaries are. I wont push my views on you if you wont push yours on mine. Go to church, read your Bible, and live your own damn life.
Also, just because I can, here’s a comparison between Jesus Christ and Horus KRST, a legitimate idol of an Egyptian religion founded many years before Christianity. If Christians are allowed to enter my property to knock on my door and throw me a pamphlet saying “YOU’RE GOING TO HELL”, then I can share my ideas once. Enjoy.
1. Horus born of a virgin. Jesus born of a virgin.
2. The foster father of Horus was Seb or Seph. Jesus was fostered by Joseph.
3. Horus was of royal descent. Jesus was of royal descent.
4. Horus birth accompanied by three solar deities [star gazers] who followed by the morning star of Sirius bearing gifts. Jesus birth accompanied by three wise men [Zoroastrian star gazers] who followed by a star “in the east” bearing gifts.
5. The birth of Horus announced by angels. The birth of Jesus announced by angels.
6. Herut tried to murder the infant Horus. Herod slaughtered every first born in an attempt to kill Jesus the forthcoming messiah.
7. Horus is baptized at age 30 by Anup the Baptiser at a river. Jesus is baptized at age 30 by John the Baptist at a river.
8. Horus resists temptation by the evil Sut [Sut was to be the precursor for the Hebrew Satan] on a high mountain. Jesus resists temptation by Satan on a high mountain.
9. Horus had 12 followers. Jesus had 12 disciples.
10. Horus performed miracles like healing the sick and walking on water. Jesus performed miracles like healing the sick and walking on water.
11. Horus raised someone from the grave [his father Osiris] Jesus raised Lazarus [notice the name similarity] from the grave. Lazarus is short for Elasarus – the “us” on the end is romanized. Elasarus was derived from “El-Asar” which was the name given to Osiris.
12. Horus was buried and resurrected in the city of Anu. The place Bethany mentioned in John was a derivative of the words “Bet” and “Anu” which translates “the house of Anu”. The ‘y’ on the end of bethany is interchangeable with the letter ‘u’.
13. Horus was killed by crucifixtion. Jesus was crucified.
14. Horus was accompanied by two thieves at the crucifixtion. Jesus was crucified with two thieves.
15. Horus was buried in a tomb at Anu. Jesus was buried in a tomb located in Bethany [Bet-Anu].
16. Horus was resurrected after 3 days. Jesus was “said” to resurrected after over a period of three days.
17. The resurrection of Horus was announced by three women. The resurrection of Jesus was announced by three women.
18. Horus was given the titel KRST which means “anointed one” Jesus was given the title Christ [Christos] meaning “anointed one”
seriously tho like more than half of those facts are wrong on the horus side- he did not raise osiris from death-not born of virgin at all (wtf were u here tht?)-not of royal descent he was born of gods-not announced by angels (again wtf?)-the temptation part is wrong on both sides jesus was in desert and sut? you mean seth? the guy he killed?-not baptized son of gods duh-byblos not anu-im not going to go into the rest but try not to present false information
Those without faith will never understand. Sad but true. Now, make fun of me if you desire. It doesn’t matter and only shows that you are fearful of your ending and displays your immaturity.
I’m not going to make fun of you. I’m just going to ask one thing; what is faith but the belief in, really, anything, and therefore can anyone really be without faith, and even then, how is them not having faith in what you have faith in, “Sad”?
I have several things to point out. First, the only good that the bible will ever do anyone who wasn’t born an utter moron, (thou shalt not kill… because I needed to be told that), is that it’s a big blunt implement that could concievably be used for survival in a zombie appocolypse. Second, all this argument is kinda self defeating, I personaly am agnostic, simply because there is no way I can prove that any religious figure exists or not, there is simply no way. Ok, I’m done, you can get back to your arguing now
At this point I have to point out that if god exists as the bible tells us, then he can do anything… even create other worlds with people on it? If god has this untold power then why would he want us to worship him? what does he have to gain… or to lose? and who’s to say he’s not got bored with humans and moved on to a more interesting species somewhere in the cosmos?
And I would have to agree that organized religion is corrupt and full of hypocrisy, but if you actually read and reflected on the Bible you would see that Christians are supposed to help people without any prospect of personal gain, not judge people about personal choices, and just be plain happy that they know God.
I am sorely disappointed with organized Christianity these days, but don’t judge the religion and text of that religion by the the vast majority out there, pick up the book and read it with an open mind. I’m not saying that it will convert you, just that it is not to blame for people’s actions.
Yes, and at the same time if you read any work of the Shinto, Buddhist, Muslim or Norse religions, you’d learn pretty much the same thing. So basically, you’re saying that if you read one book, it makes sense, but if you read any other book, that book is completely wrong?
If you aren’t, you aren’t a Christian. If you are, you’re an idiot.
One of the great things about “Christians” is that you preach and preach about the “Good Book”, and basically say that it must be read with an open mind.
When was the last time you picked up the Qu’ran and read it with an open mind? When was the last time you read an atheist doctrine with an open mind?
You can read any piece of mythology – Christianity included, because it IS a mythology – with an open mind and get the same message you’re trying to preach. The difference is, you say people are ignorant for not reading your book with an open mind, yet you would never in your life read their book with an open mind.

I actually have read other holy texts. And when did I EVER state that the others were wrong? I only said what the message was, not that it is, necessarily, absolute truth.
i believe that there is something higher, but i believe that giving it consciousness and human characteristics is ridiculous. i do not believe in god. i believe that religious people are foolish to believe in all that stuff. although i believe that the moral guidelines laid down by religious texts and officials are, on the whole, good (a bad example is the pope. condemning condoms? well done, you just spawn killed millions of babies and adults with aids), however, i also believe that atheists, agnostics and pastafarians do have morals too you know. i believe i’ve said ‘believe’ too much (but even consciousness is a belief in existance) and that no-one gives a fuck what is written on the internet or some random picture
I completely agree, every good religious, and every good atheist still believes in the same principles for common benefit. And also no one doesn’t believe in anything beyond perceptual, do you feel the earth being spherical? Maybe yes, maybe from a tall mountain you could see the rounded horizon, but for ages it was believed it was flat, it made perfect sense for everyone, and probably a lot of people were hard to convince of the opposite.
What I mean is that the only difference between a religious and an atheist is that one still believes god looks somehow like us and the other maybe not until his last minutes of life will understand that he had believed in something already for all his life being that he was always pushed to discover something new no matter it was going to end.
My faith is that I was born to die and that’s enough to value my life and the one of every living being, just like every religion teaches… though my reason I think is more scientific than paradise and hell.
Haha that’s awesome. Maybe in another couple hundred years people will stop putting all their faith in an bronze-age sky-daddy and wake up to the potential of human beings.
I’m sure this guy just did that for the lulz, and the lulz he created.
You can’t have Atheists and Theists arguing over religion. The fued would never end! (which is why there have been so many posts so far). What you all need is an impartial mediator. Thats me
So…for the point of argument…lets just say 1 out of every 10 people in the world don’t believe in God (hypothetically speaking). 9 out of every 10 people will be attending church as they grow, will be praying before they go to sleep, and will be learning and accepting their religion as they grow. This religion (I’ll make it easy and go with Christianity) teaches its followers good morals and what not to do (such as kill, steal, covet). This religion will cause no harm to its followers for believing nor any harm to anyone for not believing. It has done nothing but make life simple and easy to understand. Most religions are similiar in some way shape or form and have a similiar purpose behind them.
But…what we all can’t forget is ourselves. Human beings. A very intelligent, loving, deceiving, and violent race.
Every religion there is, was made up by a human. That human
poured all the seemingly vital ingredients into their religion for the better of humanity…right? But what if that wasn’t true? You can’t be blind to the fact that every religion ever made was made for pure entertainment, pure profit, or pure greed. We are a shameless race and we can NOT be trusted.
The point im trying to make, ladies and gentlemen…is that on one hand, a religion can incite prayer, love and hope for all. And on the other, it can incite hate, chaos and death. Muslims hijack planes and crash them into buildings for Allah(God). They do this because they have been brain washed into doing the dirty work of a much smarter, much more vile human being. You religious people go to church, or temple or whatever because you have been brainwashed as well. We should all live on this planet together in harmony but with so many different religions, we will never agree. Religion will constantly be tearing us apart and forcing us to fight. And innocent people will continue to be killed over it. It doesn’t matter what religion you believe in because they were all made by MAN. Religion will do NOTHING but help bring down mankind. And i encourage anyone who thinks differently than me, to go sit on the fun end of a broomstick before trying to convince me that im wrong.
Santa is real, I promise. This one guy who lives next to my local donutshop met this Mexican guy once who told about his cousin who had an auntie whose daughter saw a TV show where a girl from Texas got a letter from a guy in Sweden where it said that his mother’s third husband once met this drunk whose friend had a mistress that once saw a guy in red clothes on her brother’s roof. That was during the summer, tho, but she swore it was Santa. I can’t prove it, but it’s true.
ROFL!!!!!
Is it real? The guys is soooooooo creative! I posted it at my fun collection @ 9GAG.
Wow, once again a person who has never truly put their faith and hope in God, especially while reading the Bible, has made an ignorant statement about His word. I will pray that God will truly show Himself to this person in a way that is undeniable as He has done for me time and time again.
Hi, I believe in a Flying Spaghetti Monster that I have absolutely no proof exists, but I know he is there. I believe we’d make great friends.
Oh, except I’m right and you’re wrong.
I hope some day you realize how ridiculous you sound.
I love south park too!

“I will pray that God will truly show Himself to this person in a way that is undeniable as He has done for me time and time again.”
Go ahead and pray that for all of us. If God would just show himself in an undeniable way, then faith would no longer be required…

I’ve read the Bible too.

(Comments wont nest below this level)Ok, the New Testament does not read “if you sin you will go to Hell.” I guess it depends on your definition offer ‘total’ and ‘utter’ devotion.
We take it in faith that it was accurately recorded.
people…LET IT GO!!!
first of all, there is no way to prove GOD does or doesnt exist.
You’re both stupid.
fuck you.

(Comments wont nest below this level)You seem to think that science is one set piece of stone instead of what it really is.
(Comments wont nest below this level)So speaks someone who believes in the holy scriptures of science.

That’s a largely ignorant point of view to take.
Uh… atheism, by definition is not a religion, the belief thereof in some sort of deity is religion (look it up), and atheism is the exact opposite.
(Comments wont nest below this level)“Theists observe the abundance of evidence.”
First off, what ‘evidence’?
Secondly, your faith is based in the lack of evidence. If you had evidence, it would not be faith, it would be know.
Athiests look at the rediculous falsehoods and hypocrisy perpetuated by the religious dogma all religions kick up to hide how bloody crazy their faiths are, as well as to get people to chip a few bucks their way.
I am sure that back in the day, when woman had all the power, creating a book that put all the superiority in mans favour made sense. Its time we grew out of that old fashioned way of thinking. Retire the dogma, use our brains.
Stop accepting, start questioning.
(Comments wont nest below this level)You don’t believe it. THAT is why YOU fail.
Maybe it is just sarcasm, but it’s hilarious! Jed, You’re a true Comedian.
I agree.
News flash people…no one gives a flying fuck what your religious beliefs are
News flash, being all negative like that and cussing us all out for having a debate doesn’t make you any more manly.
Now go read your sacred forums.
Sorry for replying just to say this, but, wow…, you took the words right out of my mouth.
(Comments wont nest below this level)Unless there is no God.
FIRST!
Wow, this really brings a lot of thoughts to mind.
seriously tho like more than half of those facts are wrong on the horus side- he did not raise osiris from death-not born of virgin at all (wtf were u here tht?)-not of royal descent he was born of gods-not announced by angels (again wtf?)-the temptation part is wrong on both sides jesus was in desert and sut? you mean seth? the guy he killed?-not baptized son of gods duh-byblos not anu-im not going to go into the rest but try not to present false information
HOLY FUCK
I can’t be there with you but I can dream
Science flies men to the moon, Religion flies men into buildings.
i farted.
Dont buy it! Have you seen the crap they wrote about me. This is a disgrace!
Those without faith will never understand. Sad but true. Now, make fun of me if you desire. It doesn’t matter and only shows that you are fearful of your ending and displays your immaturity.
Peace
I’m not going to make fun of you. I’m just going to ask one thing; what is faith but the belief in, really, anything, and therefore can anyone really be without faith, and even then, how is them not having faith in what you have faith in, “Sad”?
Wow…. What has our world come to….
It was just a sarcastic comment. A funny one at that. It doesn’t mean the world has been poisoned by “Satan”.
I’m U-friend! I like grafic design. Live, them is study

That’s not how praying works!
You can’t pray for a new Porsche 996 and expect to get one.
You would have to steal the 996 first and then pray for forgiveness of your sins.
(Comments wont nest below this level)I actually have read other holy texts. And when did I EVER state that the others were wrong? I only said what the message was, not that it is, necessarily, absolute truth.
grown ups with imaginary friends.
i believe that there is something higher, but i believe that giving it consciousness and human characteristics is ridiculous. i do not believe in god. i believe that religious people are foolish to believe in all that stuff. although i believe that the moral guidelines laid down by religious texts and officials are, on the whole, good (a bad example is the pope. condemning condoms? well done, you just spawn killed millions of babies and adults with aids), however, i also believe that atheists, agnostics and pastafarians do have morals too you know. i believe i’ve said ‘believe’ too much (but even consciousness is a belief in existance) and that no-one gives a fuck what is written on the internet or some random picture
Paulius wins…lol
And i encourage anyone who thinks differently than me, to go sit on the fun end of a broomstick before trying to convince me that im wrong.
absolotely right, unless is your own…
pathetic trolls are pathetic
Santa is real, I promise. This one guy who lives next to my local donutshop met this Mexican guy once who told about his cousin who had an auntie whose daughter saw a TV show where a girl from Texas got a letter from a guy in Sweden where it said that his mother’s third husband once met this drunk whose friend had a mistress that once saw a guy in red clothes on her brother’s roof. That was during the summer, tho, but she swore it was Santa. I can’t prove it, but it’s true.
