Alongside Google’s hot social networking platform, the Mountain View based company has redesigned many of its products’ user interfaces over the past few months in an effort to provide a cleaner and more streamlined feel. Most of these changes are totally aesthetic, but they are easier on the eye and make the Google experience much more pleasurable.

Google+ Hangouts, the group video chat feature that lets friends talk face-to-face online, is adding another trick up its sleeve – live streaming YouTube. This new feature lets up to ten people watch YouTube live streams together. Currently, it is possible to use live feeds with hangouts, but only through the following 5-step process.

Since Google launched Plus recently, the company has been gradually rolling out redesigns to a number of its services, and now YouTube has been given a lick of paint with the new “Cosmic Panda” update. The redesign features a darker colour scheme, with videos nestled on a dark grey background with advertising space on either side.
