YouTube has always ranked search results by popularity. If a video gets clicked by a ton of users, it will appear higher in search results for others. In many ways, this makes sense. Chances are great that if everyone else clicked on the video, it's probably what you are looking for. However, what if the video is a piece of junk with a clever title? Tons of people might click on it and exit immediately. That is why Google-owned YouTube is now prioritizing search results by time watched instead of just how many clicks it gets.

The thing about YouTube is that most videos are relatively short in length and browsing around takes a lot of active participation and manual searching for what you find to be interesting. Being able to import new content from your favourite websites into your RSS reader is a tool so handy it's not easily forgotten. There are some names which roll easily off one’s tongue. Zazoo seems to be one of them. It seems to go well with the Chrome extension’s tagline - Don’t Just Watch Music – Zazoo It! Well, I don’t know if the name ultimately will turn into a verb, but if it does, it will mean that the Chrome extension is doing something right. As an enabler for YouTube, Zazoo has to do everything right because it is a very crowded space.
