Spring has sprung, and for some of us, it feels more like summer. As I sat sweating in front of my computer, I decided it might be time for some cool inspiration – and I mean “cool” in the literal sense of the word. So I went searching through Flickr for Creative Commons licensed images that show water in creative and interesting ways, and might remind me (and you) of what it feels like to be nice and chilly.

It’s quite surprising how much we can do with our smartphones today.Today our phones have about as much computing power as an entire desktop computer did back then, if not more. With that amount of computing power, you can do almost anything your heart desires, including some pretty neat tricks with your wallpaper.

This theme is meant to be a sleek, compact theme that still keeps a few aspects of the default theme shipped with Gnome Shell. The iPad has been around for quite a while, and accordingly, the AppStore has accumulated lots of different free wallpapers apps. If you ever got bored of your wallpaper or icons, I’m sure you’ve had to deal with this abundance of options. A search for “wallpapers” in the AppStore yields so many results, and so many of them free, it’s hard to know where to start.
