The iPad has been around for quite a while, and accordingly, the AppStore has accumulated lots of different free wallpapers apps. If you ever got bored of your wallpaper or icons, I’m sure you’ve had to deal with this abundance of options. A search for “wallpapers” in the AppStore yields so many results, and so many of them free, it’s hard to know where to start.

Wallpapers are an expression of yourself. Whether it’s the wallpaper on your physical wall at home or your desktop wallpaper, it reveals a little bit about yourself. Or at least it shows you are not boring. Personally, I love to switch my digital wallpapers often as I quickly get bored. Recently, I discovered live wallpapers for Google Android and have been playing around with them.

You have to admit that Gnome Shell does look elegant, even if you completely hate it for how it works. Some people even say that Gnome Shell practically breaks every ergonomics rule in the book, but others seem to enjoy it. Currently I myself find it most useful on my netbook, and I like what the developers have done to try to put some new life into the boring old desktop.
