Although I don’t actually own an active Instagram account, I love taking and sharing photos. When I finally get a phone that can run Instagram and other such apps, be sure I’ll be enjoying what this platform has to offer. Whether you like photography or not, there’s something about snapping and sharing beautiful images that’s appealing to almost anyone – a fact that helps make image-sharing apps like Instagram and Pinterest so incredibly popular.

Add the ultimate personal touch to any document: turn your handwriting into a font and use that. There's a lot of creative potential here, and it's a lot easier to do than you'd think thanks to MyScriptFont. Friends don't let friends use Comic Sans. It's just a bad idea. If you want a font that looks handwritten, don't mess around: create a custom font using your own handwriting and use that.

Whenever you're happily setting up your new Ubuntu system, one of the things you'll probably think about the least is getting the correct fonts installed. If you're a bit confused about why I mentioned fonts, it's because most distributions (or at least those who'd like to remain legal) only use free, or "libre", fonts. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with using these fonts, there will most likely be multiple cases where you'll be required to have certain fonts.

Whether or not you take an active interest in typography, I’m sure you’ve seen something like this before. A document whose writer (or, worse still, its designer) tried to be overly creative, and did some horrible font matching. I don’t just mean "used Comic Sans MS" (the perennial "awful font" everybody loves to hate), but even if the writer or designer used "sane" fonts, they don’t always go together.
