Gaming sure isn't what it used to be. I haven't touched a console since the PlayStation 2 days, and I don't think you'll ever be able to convince me to purchase a new one ever again. Console gaming in the year 2013 strikes me as consisting of nothing more than overhyped first-person shooters and overly-cinematic "movie" games. That's not my style. I've always been into quality gameplay. It may just be the nostalgia inside of me taking over, but gaming was best in the '90s.

In the middle of February, I dropped an article on you guys that introduced you to everything you ever wanted in Diablo III - all in another game. That game is Path of Exile, and since my article, the game has done nothing but grow increasingly more popular. I've played the game for about a month and, though I feel like it's a pretty bold statement to make this early, I truly feel like Path of Exile is one the best games I've ever played on the PC.

Despite breaking the single-day record for sales of a PC game, at 3.5 million, I feel as if Diablo III has turned out to be a bit of a flop. The game had a rocky start with a release that was riddled with crashes, and a huge base of players have severe gripes about the game's difficulty and gameplay in general. It truly is the total package in terms of mobile gaming, and it is a game that every single iPhone owner should have installed on their device. Dubstep isn't for everyone. As with all genres of music there are those who love it and those who hate it, but dubstep appears to split opinion more than other genres. I wouldn't say I'm a fan - rock and indie music are my first loves - but there are some dubstep tracks that I thoroughly enjoy. Skrillex is responsible for several of these. Skrillex is one of the more mainstream dubstep artists in a genre that's growing increasingly mainstream.

The latest World of Warcraft expansion has been on the market for a couple weeks, and I have been able to spend far too many hours playing it. I started playing WOW again a few months ago, before I even knew that Mists of Pandaria existed, and I could not be happier with my decision. There is so much to do in WOW, and this new expansion makes it all even better.

That's a title that you'll see in many gamers' top 10 lists, and practically every list of the best RPGs of all-time. Final Fantasy VII is the most beloved game of the series, and arguably the best JRPG of all-time (if we all forget about some guy named Crono). This re-release (not remake) comes with a few interesting perks: cloud saves (clever), achievements, and a "character booster" that will essentially allow you to cheat and max your party's statistics (which I hate, myself). The game is in the Square Enix store for $10 for the first month of its release.

A while ago, it was announced that Square Enix has released a beautiful new website to commemorate the Final Fantasy series' 25th anniversary. It sounds tough to believe that it was way back in 1987 when the very first Final Fantasy game dropped for the NES. Since that release, the series hasn't looked back. The Final Fantasy brand is untouchable and at the top of the class for the RPG genre.
