With the end of another month, we present to you once again another monthly roundup of Make Use Of stories.
October has been a busy month at Make Use Of headquarters with an increase to five stories a day and a start in hiring again. Seven new writers made their debut articles in October and we moved from one long Sunday podcast to three short weekly podcasts. If you missed any of them, click here to scan the list and find the ones you are looking for.
As we head into a chilly November, we hope you’ll keep warm by snuggling up and reading Make Use Of!
Summer has left us and we are heading full steam ahead into autumn - only 85 days till Christmas!
September has been an eventful month at Make Use Of - our games section finally took off properly and Ross started with us. Our adjustments to the comments board - including the ability to subscribe to follow-up comments - has also seen an increase in comments coming in which is really nice.
As we go from a hot sweltering July into an even more hot sweltering August, it’s time to take a look and see what our contributors and staff writers have done over the past month for this wonderful online publication.
I’ve had someone email me during July and ask why we don’t include the editors’ stories in this list. The reason is that this roundup is another opportunity for us to promote our writers, not our editors. The writers are what makes Make Use Of truly great. The editors write good stories too (thank you, thank you….!) but we don’t seek fame or glory. Oh no. We’re quite happy with our million dollars a year in salary and stock options along with the private jet and jacuzzi. We’re quite humble!
Wow, it’s the end of another month! Where does all that time go? Time sure does fly when you’re surfing the net, finding new websites and having fun.
Looking back, it was quite a month. As well as FIVE podcasts being broadcast by Jason (who was promoted to Make Use Of’s Podcast Editor), we also had SEVEN new writers having their debut articles published! So it’s been a very busy month and July promises to be even busier!
Being the beginning of June, it’s time to take a look back at May and see what we’ve done and to say thanks to our writers and sponsors.
May has been a huge month for us. We’ve had a lot of new writers starting and we also started podcasting! So a big thank you to our writers. Here are a list of sponsors and author posts along with links to their personal blogs :
