Shazam – the guys who brought you the awesome app that tells you what music is playing – have launched a new, free player app for iOS designed to replace your regular iPod app. Its greatest feature is the unique lyric display option, but it also comes complete with some playlist building and social functions.

Do you love watching music clips on YouTube? More and more pop stars and groups have been creating official YouTube channels where you can find their latest music clips. If you love listening to music, the chances are you love singing as well. While you can find millions of music clips on YouTube that you can watch, very often it’s hard to make out the exact lyrics.

You’re wandering around with your iPod on and listening to something awesome, but you can’t work out what the lyrics are. If only you’d bothered to get lyrics for all your tracks in iTunes before! It’s not like getting lyrics into iTunes is a terribly difficult process. These days, there’s lots of sites with lyrics, plenty of programs that will enter them into iTunes for you and a bunch of handy scripts that can do it too.
