I have not been much of an online mapper up until now (give me a map and I guarantee to get you even more lost than before!) but while I was casually surfing around the other day, I somehow happened to land upon Google Maps.
| While idly clicking on the various buttons, I found some really neat new features that will make me pay closer attention to the site from now on.
If this doesn’t now make Google Maps number one in online mapping then I don’t know what will. |
If you want to explore planet earth from your home, Google Earth is the place to start.
Fly over our world and zoom into different locations, skim through your own neighborhood in bird’s eye view, dive into the Grand Canyon, follow the Great Wall of China or have a peak onto the rainforest, maybe you’ll discover an exotic animal. There is nothing like it.
To make Google Earth even more fun, I have a few treats for you today.
Cool Google Earth Resources
Google Earth is one of my favorite web services offered by Google. This application combines satellite imagery, maps, aerial photos and google search engine, producing interesting application that enables anyone to view almost any part of the world and simulatenously get location related google search results. As google states;
“Google Earth puts a planet’s worth of imagery and other geographic information right on your desktop. View exotic locales like Maui and Paris as well as points of interest such as local restaurants, hospitals, schools, and more.” Link
