One advantage of the Internet is that you can build relationships with a wide range of people from various demographics that you may never physically meet. Social network sites like Twitter and Facebook are worldwide Internet forums in which we can get news and information in a short amount of time. Do you have a central contacts list? It’s pretty difficult to nowadays. In my case, it’s a near impossibility. I’ve simply changed services too many times, failing to copy all of my contacts over each time I move. You know what we could all use? A consolidation tool. Something that will connect with all of my old services and pull all of my contacts.

There are a lot of web-based business card apps out there, sure, but I can’t seem to stick with any of them, and a lot of the phone apps require that the other user have the same app as me, which is rarely the case. Also, a problem with business cards in general is that the information on them becomes outdated over time. In this article, I’m going to show you my new favorite business card app.

Google announced a new feature yesterday for Google+ called circle sharing. You can now share whole circles with your friends, and thus introduce or suggest people to them easily. This is especially useful for professional circles. If you want, for example, to share all your professional contacts with your colleagues, you can now do it in two clicks.

Most of us who use smartphones eventually start to like using text messaging. Gmail is where I spend a lot of time during a given day. Whether I’m answering a fresh round of emails or searching through a pile of old ones to find important information I had either forgotten or misplaced. One thing I never find myself doing however, is adding contacts to my address book. Where would I even find the kind of information that goes along with my contacts’ names and email addresses?
