Microsoft SkyDrive has been around for a while, but was recently given a fairly significant update. We took some time to talk to Microsoft about the new features and play with it all, so here’s a breakdown of what you can expect.

File Expert is an all-in-wonder tool for managing and sharing local files and apps installed on your Google Android device, as well as files stored in the cloud. File Expert supports a host of options to connect and share, it comes with an archive manager, provides root access to system folders, and more options. The tool is free and yet does not display any ads.

All of these services are easy to use, but they are true clouds. All of your data is kept in a remote location, which leaves you with limited control over its security and limited storage space.

The Google Docs app for Android provides quick access to your documents and collections stored online with Google. Within the app you can view, create, edit, upload, and share files or take pictures with your Android device camera and directly import them.

It can’t be denied. We at MakeUseOf, along with most of the world, still love Dropbox dearly. It’s the synchronization tool of choice because it simply works like you expect it to. However, using just the basics of the software may make you miss out on some useful stuff that could make your life even easier.
