Are you a fan of Angry Birds Star Wars? Even if you’re an official fan of the game’s Page on Facebook, you might not yet know that the game is now available on a brand new platform: that’s right, Facebook itself. As of today, you can play Angry Birds Star Wars beta right on Facebook, including all the Tatooine levels, with Death Star levels coming soon.
If I tell you “this is a great game for your phone, and it’s all about using a slingshot,” one game will instantly come to mind. Right? Well, it turns out there are ways to use slingshot and slinging that result in a unique game that’s nothing like Angry Birds at all: One is a racing game with gorgeous graphics and the simplest controls imaginable, while the other does have you shoot things with a slingshot but isn’t like Angry Birds in any other way.
Talk to anyone about mobile gaming and the first game that pops into mind will likely be Angry Birds. So imagine my surprise when I downloaded Shoot the Apple, gave it a try, and saw that it was pretty similar in gameplay. You fire objects at a target, navigating or destroying obstacles that are in the way. However, Shoot the Apple has a 4.5 star rating on Google Play, and after playing it a bit, I can see why.
Rovio has recently updated Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons. And the good times continue with updates for Angry Birds Star Wars II and Angry Birds Friends, with new levels and features for both.
