Yahoo Talent Show – $50,000 and Development Deal

Yahoo recently launched Talent Show in order to find someone who can become next internet celebrity and run own show on Yahoo. The idea of contest is to produce a video piece that best highlights your skills and abilities, and it can be about anything you want. Each person can submit upto 50 videos with each piece being less then 10 min in length. Videos will be judged based on users’ votes and comments. The winner of the contest will get US$50,000 and a development deal to star in, or produce show on Yahoo.

To participate you have to be over 18 and live in USA. Also all submitted video should be original and cannot include any copyrighted material. Some more rules here
Talent Show Timeline

  • October 23rd: Talent Show opened for submissions
  • November 13th: Users can watch, comment and vote on videos. Videos still can be uploaded
  • November 27th: Last day to submit video.
  • December 1st: Last day for users to watch and vote on videos
  • December 4th: Five finalists announced. Competition continues among them.
  • December 12th – 13th: America votes for the ultimate winner of the Yahoo Talent Show
  • December 14th: The winner is announced
