Word, Excel & PowerPoint Now Available On Select Nokia Symbian Devices [Updates]

After bringing their Office Mobile app to Nokia’s Windows Phone Lumia line, Microsoft and Nokia have now brought Word, Excel and PowerPoint to quite an impressive number of Nokia Symbian Devices. Yes, you heard right! If you own one of the Symbian devices supported, you can now get the full Microsoft Office Mobile app on your phone.

After releasing OneNote, Lync 2010, Document Connection and PowerPoint Broadcast for Symbian 2 months ago, the full Office Mobile app is now available for Nokia 701, Nokia 700, Nokia 603, Nokia E7, Nokia X7, Nokia C7, Nokia Oro and Nokia C6-01. Owners of these devices can get the Office app by using the Nokia Software Update tool or by connecting the device to Nokia PC Suite.

These versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint were designed especially for Symbian, and according to Nokia, “because these apps were created by Microsoft, the functionalities are as close as possible – if not the same – to the Microsoft Office apps on your PC”.

The full MS Office Mobile app will also arrive for the Nokia N8, Nokia E6 and Nokia 500 sometime in the future, and will be included in the Nokia 808 PureView when it launches. The apps should also arrive at the Nokia Store in a few weeks.

Do you own a Symbian device? Would you use Office on it if you did?
