There are a lot of myths about Windows Defender floating about, and the truth is that Windows Defender actually isn’t that bad. It might not be great, but it’s certainly better than having no kind of protection at all. So if it’s your only option, don’t feel bad about using it.

The annoying thing about Windows Defender, at least in Windows 10, is that it may choose to scan your system while you’re doing something important, which can get in the way. Thankfully, there’s a new Windows Defender Offline option you can use.

When commenced, it will reboot your system and scan your system right before starting up, allowing it to catch issues before they have a chance to boot up and circumvent security. To access it, look under Settings > Update & Security > Windows Defender.

For now, it’s only available to Windows Insiders. If you aren’t one, keep an eye out for the next Windows 10 update. Windows Defender Offline has actually been around since 2011, but was only recently integrated into Windows 10.

That being said, there are other security solutions that are better, including these free Internet security suites. If you can, you should look into one of these alternatives.

Do you use Windows Defender? Does this on-startup scanning feature sound useful to you? Tell us what you think by leaving a comment below!

Here's my experience with Aliexpress after becoming an A4 buyer within less than 6 months and after hundreds of orders. I had my account suspended then terminated 5 days ago. I contacted customer support four times to no avail. The first reason they gave me was: account temporarily suspended due to security reasons. After contacting the infamous customer support and promising to do their best, I got the second email with a new reason this time: My account is terminated due to violations of the order protection program. This happened and I'm an A4 buyer with 50 ongoing orders! Now I cannot dispute or leave feedback for any of them!! Simply thift!! Moreover, the fact that I returned the money to some of the sellers after a dispute/refund did not seem to matter at all. I did this voluntarily after receiving some of the disputed orders after some 3-4 months!! I still had respect and returned the money through another purchase and none of that mattered! I'm beginning to think that some of the highly rated/recommended sellers have close connections to AE management and are untouchable! I doubt their rating system so much after noticing that some of the most decent sellers are not highly rated at all.

I ordered 5 Belts on December 1, 2016. Order no. 80717822425348 applies. Why is it taking so long? Please advise.
