I think it's rather rude for twitters not to follow back and it's mostly celebrities (who btw I don't follow) b/c they don't have anything more important to say than me or the next person. Also, I hate for ppl to OVER advertise or ask to be followed. Are you kidding me? Kick rocks...lol

Like Jimmy, I'm not in the camp that thinks I *must* follow everyone who follows me. First, your article presumes that everyone following me is doing me a favor. I don't necessarily see it that way. My twitter account is very specific as to my industry, but I get followers who are clearly following anyone and everyone, in the hopes that they will get followed in return, and they have little or no information of use to me. It's not them doing me a favor, but actually asking for one in reverse -- the hopes of automatic follow. I am selection in who I follow. What I do, is click through and read the last 100 tweets of everyone who follows me. If I find any of it of interest, I follow back. If not -- I don't. I honestly don't have time to read tweets from those who fill me on on when they left for lunch and when they returned! Daylight's a burning!

I hate to say it but I like to keep my Twitter managable. I read every single tweet if I can so I only subscribe to people who post stuff I want to read. Having the entire internet flowing into my Twitter client does me no good. For this reason I only return-follow people if I actually want to see them on my feed.

I don't see my smiling face on your Twitter list but I know I am following you. Good article. I signed up for FriendOrFollow. It looks like a good app for Twitter. Thanks!
