I think moto x and g should be here. The moto x proves that a phone doesn't need to be super powered or feature drenched to be a good phone. The moto g is introducing a modern phone with good specs to many more people.

I found it hard to vote for any option that was actually "Significant" and not just rehashing the same technology over and over again (Apple), so I voted for the three best new concepts of 2013: The Pebble Smartwatch, the Oculus Rift, and the Chromecast. Now I highly doubt any of this new technology will pan out besides just as a proof-of-concept, but at least it was better than every single other device that was just the same body with slightly better specs (Apple).

That's an interesting way to choose. The Pebble and the Chromecast seem to be panning out pretty well. We'll have to see about the Oculus Rift. But I do understand what you mean.

The Chromecast is a very affordable alternative to a Roku or other streaming device, and far more portable. It is a lot easier to unplug what is basically a memory stick and move it from one TV to another than it is to move a Roku, which requires cables and a power cord. It is a lot less expensive as well. I can see traveling with a Chromecast in my tech bag but I can't see dragging along a Roku. Very clever innovation by Google. They are setting the pace for interesting technology these days.

Chromecast is the most significant gadget of 2013. In 2014, more support will be available for it and it is very reasonablly priced. I intend to buy o becomes when it available in my area.

The Chromecast is a first and they kept costs low, so I have to go with that. I wish they would build a Nexus "on a stick" device though.

bb z10, q10 ,,q5 and z30 are also awesome gadgets that should be on the listing. I have a z10 and it is great especially when i go online and i get to choose between bb and android apps. Even though the company is struggling i find their product are still good, keep in mind all brands will have lemons but no one seems to complain about the popular name brands.
