Both Issuu and Scribd are great places to share your work. I use both regularly. Another service you may want to check out is DocStoc which allow you to store and share your PDFs.

Readers who are involved in the academic world should have a look at Scholas (www.schol.as). It’s a free-to-join social file-sharing community for academics, currently in beta stage. Articles can be published and shared in many formats under a variety of licences.
