I didn't like ClipGuru. I can't figure out what the hotkey is to paste from the list. I thought it's ctl/alt/V but all I see is the color of tray icon changes.

Also it seems it doesn't support permanent clips. my email is a permanent clip because almost everyone I paste my address at some site. A permanent clip comes handy.

I will still use ClipX.

I've been using Yankee Clipper for years on my home computer without a hitch, but wasn't able to install it (or anything similar) at work without admin privileges. This is great, with the added bonus that it stores the source of the clips- so I can scour the web, copying snippets as needed, knowing I can acknowledge the source when i paste it into a document later.
My only bugbear is that it isn't quite 'portable'- I've carried it on a flash drive on several computers, but each time it saves to a new database of clips to the local disc. If there was the option to save to the thumb drive, I'd find it even better, and truly 'portable'.

I use CLCL (portable):
<a href="http://www.nakka.com/soft/clcl/index_eng.html" rel="nofollow">CLCL Homepage</a>
It is better than ClipX for me. It has template function for often used items and it saves items for each user separately.

Check out Simidude, the software my company makes. It is a cross platform network clipboard and drag & drop tool with an easy setup on real computers or virtual machines.
Works on Windows, Mac and Linux.

I've been using (and recommending ClipX) for ages. but this sounds like an alternative definitely worth checking out. Thanks.
