You may not be familiar with it, but UC Browser HD is one of the fastest tablet-optimized browsers for Android. And it’s just had a big update to v3.0, which brings significant improvements in how it handles online video, multi-touch gestures, and font size.
When you want to watch YouTube videos on the browser, UC Browser HD 3.0 will open it in the built-in smart video player which supports gesture control. With a few simple swipes, you can adjust the volume, the brightness and even rewind or fast-forward. There’s no need to access the menu and you get to see your video in the full screen at all times. This smart player works with several popular video sites like YouTube, Vimeo, and more.
In fact, gestures are a big part of the UC Browser HD 3.0 update. You can switch tabs by swiping two fingers to the left or right, and open or close tabs by swiping up or down, respectively. Swipe a single finger left or right and you can go back or forward. Such gestures are already a part of Dolphin Browser HD, a major competitor to UC Browser HD 3.0.
UC Browser HD also claims to automatically magnify text on web pages (such as news articles or forums) where it is too small to be read clearly. In addition to this, you get Cloud Sync so that you can install the browser on two different Android devices and get the same bookmarks on both.
Of course, it also includes all the features from previous versions as well as some from UC Browser on Windows 8, like Page Preloader, which smartly loads the contents of the next page for a faster browsing experience.
