Thanks for supplying the link for Transport Tycoon Dave, seems like I forgot. To sooth the pain somewhat for all of you: Here's a simulator that didn't make the list, because it's pretty outdated. Nevertheless, it can still be a lot of fun. Lincity is also a transport-, but mainly a city simulator.

I grew up on transportation simulators, most notably the Railroad Tycoon series and then onto Transport Tycoon. OpenTTD is a great addition to these games - although as the above poster notes you need the original game files to run it. I happened to have it, but if you don't you can download the game at Abandonia.

OpenTTD needs the actual game its cloning to be installed. I think that should be noted.. because I was excited to give it a try.
