I do understand why you've switched to Seesmic Desktop. I too was a fan of it, until it got a little too 'advanced' for my old laptop. So the all new web-based client is a life saver especially when I'm multitasking. I even did a post about 7 Thing I Like About Seesmic's Browser Client, imagine how impressed I am. ^^

I'm waiting for the Seesmic web version to support multiple accounts - that would be really cool!

I used Seesmic desktop. The only thing I really noticed, and only because this 'puter is share, is that you can have ONLY one Facebook account at a time. Overall I like it though.

Hi David, nice article. I love the idea of being able to access my groups from anywhere. I used to use TweetDeck but I'm giving Seesmic another try because of all the great new updates they have. I love the idea of the web-based version, the thought of being able to truly access my accounts organized the way I like them at any computer is a great advantage. TweetDeck does have the companion iPhone app going for it but I find it to be slow to load and clunky. I'm hoping the Seesmic iPhone app is better. Thanks for the great article!

I've tried seesmic several times and I can never get the columns setup the correct way. I have several columns in TweetDeck and they line up in a useful way. Second when I minimize it, it does not go into the task bar instead it goes to the start bar, and the status bar. So I X out seesmic thinking it will stay in the task bar and no it goes away.
