I’m working on something, but ran into problems with the Twitter API usage limits.

what i don’t understand is why there is such a lack of PORTABLE twitter clients…

so far i have only found one: Pwytter_Portable. it’s tricky to find (i think i got it from esnips.com) and it’s still a test release – but well worth hunting down.

i run it from my USB (thumb) drive (launched via PStart). Simple to configure – no need to login after initial set up – i can set the number of tweets displayed & the auto-refresh rate – display friends / public / @replies / DMs – and i can quickly change to another twitter account

Apparently it is an abandoned project…why oh why?

Try this client out…maybe it’ll work better for you and give you the stability Tweetdeck seems to lack of.

It’s true, I’m still waiting for a Twitter client that will blow all of our minds! I have tabs on that, it’ll come out..it’s just a matter of waiting now.

I’ve used Tweetdeck till now for my twittering. I’ll have to give this a go as Tweetdeck hasn’t been that stable for me recently (most likely because my work pc needs a rebuild real bad heh).

Apart from the upside-down text, this app seems very similar to Twhirl or Tweetdeck. Rather than another ‘me too’ client, I’d love someone to do something really innovative and take Twitter clients to the next level.
