How to Tweak the Duration of Windows 10 Notifications

Ads by Google

Some Windows 10 settings are obvious. If you need to change notifications, you go to the notification settings, right?

Well, as it turns out, there’s one aspect of notification options that aren’t quite where you’d expect it to be. If you want to tweak how long a notification popup appears on the screen before fading away, you actually need to go to a completely different part of your Windows 10 Settings app.

Head to Settings, then launch Ease of Access. From there, scroll down to Other options and open it. The third option down is Show Notifications For… and there’s a drop box that lets you choose how long they’ll display on screen. By default it’s five seconds, and you can raise it up to as high as five minutes if you’d like.

Are there any other Windows 10 settings you wish were a little more obvious? Share your woes in the comments!
