We ease into the collection with pop and folk albums, loosen it up with some jazz / big band / swing, transition to ambient, electronic, beats, and finally conclude with punk, rock and roll.

Jae Jin – It’s Christmas Again

This album was also featured in last year’s Christmas edition. Jae Jin contacted me to let me know that this year, all proceeds from the album will be donated to Union Gospel Mission in Washington, a nonprofit that serves the poor and homeless across the State.

EP: Glenn Crytzer’s Savoy Seven – A Little Love This Christmas

Genre: jazz, big band, swing

From the album page: “[Half] the money brought in by this record between now and Dec 25 is going to go to the Jazz Foundation of America. (…) [This] organization runs a ton of programs – from providing free lessons to kids in poorer neighborhoods to helping musicians in crisis with emergency housing, helping with pro bono medical care for elderly musicians, to doing things like helping out with some living expenses when you break your arm in a car accident and can’t work.”
