Tom’s Planner is a new project management and collaboration tool which uses a chart based drag and drop interface to let you schedule and manage projects quickly and easily. It’s web based and creates online Gantt chart visualizations, something which people using Microsoft Project would be familiar with.
TomsPlanner gives the feel of a desktop software and lets you save schedules privately, share them, modify them, publish them online and also export them to Microsoft Project. Projects and schedules published online can be viewed without creating an account.
Overall, it’s an impressive tool for professional project managers and is free while in beta. When they introduce paid accounts, free accounts get extended for an year, which isn’t a bad deal.
