YouTube is an absolute treasure trove of free entertainment. It's a place where anyone can create content that's meant to make us laugh, cry, smile, and feel every other emotion you can fathom.

But one of the most entertaining and hilarious things on YouTube isn't meant to be funny at all -- it was intended to be a useful feature for the hearing impaired. Somewhere along the way, though, things went sideways and Google created something else.

I'm talking, of course, about Google's auto-generated captioning. Most YouTube videos with speech have a little CC button. Click it when you're watching something that has the option, kick back, and get ready to take in an absolutely joyous experience.

For some videos, there are captions built in. If this is the case, click the gear icon, then subtitles, then change it to Auto-Generated.

Try it on the following videos, which are a couple of my favorites with captioning. It tends to be funnier on videos where the person is speaking quickly or with an accent. (Warning: Some are NSFW!)

This one is kind of cheating as PewDiePie is unintelligible by anyone or anything.

A classic!

It's just a movie trailer... how funny can it be.
