Even with Unity in the picture, You still can’t leave out Ubuntu. I might not like Unity a lot, but Ubuntu is still the best.

The best at what exactly? Is it the most stable? No. The most bleeding edge? Nope. The more user-friendly?  Not anymore by my accounts.

How is Ubuntu not user-friendly?  I started with Linux a few months ago, and have been using Ubuntu exclusively with no issues.  I even installed it on my grandmother’s computer and it was easier for her to understand than Windows 7.

I did however, try Mint, and was left feeling “on my own” by the relatively limited community support when compared to Ubuntu; they have forums, “Ask Ubuntu” and much more support in general than when I would try to get solutions to my issues on Linux Mint.

The perspective of the traditional Linux user that is antagonistic to change, that hates Unity is not the perspective of the tech illiterate end-user.
