Tried the service but couldn't get it to work because my FTP log in is not the same as my domain name log in. However, in trying to get things sorted out, discovered that my hosting company (www.supremehost.net) will install the latest version free of charge on my behalf. If things could always be that simple. Of course, must be remembered that I am one of those people that should not be allowed near the Internet or technical issues.

For first time users / installers - a volunteer with WordPress will also install the program for free on your behalf.

I've used the free EasyWP WordPress Installer script several times in the past, and it was quick, easy, and got the job done very well. The biggest advantage for me was that I was on a fairly slow "broadband" (and I use that word loosely) connection, so I didn't want to always have to ftp all the WordPress files up to the server. EasyWP kept me from having to use my connection for all those files, which saved tons of time. I have a faster connection now, but it's still quicker to use EasyWP instead. It can be downloaded here: EasyWP WordPress Installer
