In Las Vegas/Henderson/North Las Vegas NEVADA, there is a website that has BOTH Multiple Listing Service (MLS- Resale homes) & SALESTRAQ (New Construction Homebuilder Listings for Track-Like Homes Mostly). It is http://www.sellprorealty.com They do not make you sign up or log in for anything. It is Free- look all you want.

I have been real estate shopping for some time and have come to love RedFin. It known as a discount realtor, but I use it strictly for their web site home search. RedFin has the map search. It comes with map search by default with every search. You specify your query in a pull down dialog. In addition, RedFin allows you to syndicate your searches. On my iGoogle home page, for example, I have six different RedFin queries on display, each displaying housing updates from a particular zip code. They also have all the usuals – email alerts, favorites, pics, homes sold, and forums.

The only downer is that RedFin is not available in all areas. However, if its in your area, you should definitely check it out.

We will be looking at Zillow and Trulia in this series. I tend to stay away from the sites that are really real estate brokerages maquerading as search sites, so we won’t look at those.

I use a number of different sites. I look at Redfin, Zillow, trulia, and ZipRealty. The real benefit of Realtor.com is that I have a MLS quick search that I rely on in Firefox. I can type mls and it takes me directly to the listing.
