I went for evernote, but they had no android client.
After the reviews here and somewhere else I installed 3bananas. It simply rocks.

I just wonder what their business model is. I dont want to have hundreds of notes there, and then have them suddenly disappear on me. I also don’t want ads to begin appearing everywhere.

If this ever gets as functional as OneNote (from the standpoint of tabular organization, searching all file formats including audio & video), it will rock.

I second that! It is ridiculous easy to jot down notes in 3banana compared to the web interface in Evernote.

I use http://www.threetags.com. Just because I am paranoid and ThreeTags service encrypts everything on the client.

Out of all the note taking apps out there (and there’s a lot, I think I really like 3banana over them all. As a g1 user, their app is fantastic. The hash tagging and html embedding are also seriously winning features. 3banana provides a very fluid and easy way to bring my notes everywhere with me. It’s very simple and that trait helps me make things more simple. It’s my notepad for my internetlife.

Glad to see this write up about 3banana. I found out about them on Android and have been hoping they’d pick up more steam. Your article really hits their coolness to a tee.

Seems that 3Banana has one major advantage over Evernote (was once my favorite) …

There is an Android (G1) app for it !

That’s a huge bonus. And that’s what won me over.

Looks good to me! But just started using Ubernote (www.ubernote.com) for note-taking and absolutely love it. It has a sleek interface, many ways to acquire the notes and just… well, it just plain works I switched to UN from Google Notebook after trying Evernote and a few other apps.
