Do you suck at Facebook? Would you know if you did? Most of us probably think we’re doing okay, but are in fact annoying people somehow. Let’s see how you stack up.

Personal Account, Page Or Group?

You’d think by now most people would know what sort of account they need to set up on Facebook, but that doesn’t seem to be the case everywhere.

Small business owners who have been told they should “get on Facebook” seem to approach the site and immediately set up a personal account with their business name. Worse still, they often go on to use it like a personal account.

One can only hope that when they finally get around to making a Facebook page, that they do so with a legitimate personal account as the admin, so that when Facebook finally does delete their business-personal account (these types of accounts are banned by Facebook) they are not left without access.

Joint Accounts

Joint accounts should be banned. Oh wait, they are. Yes, just like businesses using personal accounts are banned. If Facebook catches you using a joint account, it will delete it for you, and then neither of you will have access to your friends and family via Facebook.

Alternatively, you could just set up your own accounts, which your friends will appreciate as it makes it easier to know who you’re talking to.
